A background in getting things right
I've spent more than a decade in software engineering, most of it specializing in quality engineering. That's the work of making sure software actually works before it reaches the people counting on it. My job was to think like the user, find the problems the developers missed, and write automated tests that kept big, messy systems reliable as they grew.
That work took me across a wide slice of the industry: a large enterprise, a nonprofit-sector software company, an early-stage startup, and most recently regulated medical-technology software, where the bar for quality is about as high as it gets. Bouncing between those worlds taught me to fit the approach to the job. A hospital system needs serious rigor. A small business needs something more practical. I can do both.
That's still how I think. Quality engineering trains you to ask the questions nobody else thinks to, to picture what might go wrong, and to sweat the small stuff that separates something that looks finished from something that really is. Small businesses deserve that same care from whoever is handling their technology.

Why I started Belanger Digital Solutions
Over the years I kept running into capable business owners who had been let down by technology. A website nobody could update. An email address that kept landing in spam. A developer who vanished right after launch. Quotes written in jargon. None of it was complicated. It just needed someone they could trust to take care of it.
So I built Belanger Digital Solutions around one idea: be the technical partner a small business can't justify hiring full-time. Maybe you need a new website, a second opinion before you sign a contract, or someone to quietly keep things running in the background. I want to be the person you call.
How I like to work
I keep it personal and direct. You'll always deal with me, not a salesperson or a subcontractor you never meet. I explain decisions in plain language, scope the work up front so there are no surprise bills, and respect your time and your budget. I'm not chasing one-off projects. I'd rather earn the kind of relationship where I'm the first person you think to call.
